Other Comments

Having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998 and then multiple secondaries in 2006, I was given much hope to be told by my G.P about the treatment at Opal Clinic.
I am happy to recommend Opal Clinic in the hope that it will give others the chance to attack their cancer with everything available.
I have nothing but praise for the staff in their diligence to offer a treatment outside the realms of conventional medicine.
The procedure is pleasant, non-intrusive and everyone at the clinic makes you feel like one of the family in one of the most traumatic times of your life.
I am intending to continue treatment as a preventative measure given my confidence in the treatment.

I thank everybody at Opal Clinic for their dedication and exemplary care. Please keep up the good work and be there for me when and if I need you again.

After I had been diagnosed with a small breast cancer in late 2004 I had a lumpectomy on my right breast. It was decided that I did not required an removal of the lymph nodes. However in 2005 after I had finished radiotherapy a Melbourne friend told me about the recently established clinic in Box Hill offering a new type of light treatment, PDT.
After looking into the treatment I discussed it with my Sydney G.P, who thought in my case it would be a good idea to top up the lumpectomy with the treatment offered.
The Clinic investigated my whole body and found small indications of cancer under my armpits and concentrated in these areas. At the end of the treatment they checked again, and they were able to give me DVD’s showing the areas before and after treatment – with the small spots gone!
In the beginning I was checked every 3 months by my Sydney Oncologist, but now I am down to annual checks.
